Lavender Cottage is close to the beaches of False Bay and the warm waters of the Indian Ocean as well as the Vineyards of Helderberg and Stellenbosch and the Whale Route to Hermanus.

Nestling under the Helderberg Mountain in the valley of the Lourensford River with magnificent views of the Hottentots Holland Mountain Range lies the Somerset West suburb of Morningside.

The property, more than two hectares in size, situated on the outskirt of the former fishing village Gordon's Bay, lies in one of the most beautiful valleys of the Cape area, framed by the Helderberg chain, the Hottentot Holland Mountains and the eastern False Bay.

Our Guesthouse is idyllically situated in Lorensford Road in the quite and beautiful town of Somerset West at the foot of the Helderberg Mountain. Cape Town can be reached by car in approximately 30 minutes. In near proximity you also have the airport, beaches, golf courses and of course the Winelands.
