Our self catering holiday in Table View
We try once a year, as a family, to go and see our family in Cape Town. This year we decided to rent self catering accommodation in Tableview rather than B&B. The amount of self catering apartments and houses to choose from was huge. With some difficulty we all agreed on one particular place that had three bedrooms and two full bathrooms, an indoor barbeque area and a swimming pool outside. This house was also fortunately situated centrally between our relatives houses as well as being close to the shops.
I have to say that the inside of this place was even better than it's pictures on the internet. It was outstandingly clean and well laid out. I originally come from Cape Town and hence knew all the scenic spots. My children however were very small when we moved away from Cape Town and so my husband and I decided to show them around. We took them for a drive from Tableview through to Sea Point and into Hout Bay, where we took a boat trip to seal island. This I must say was very good value for money and highly enjoyable. We also took them over Chapman's Peak on our way to Cape Point Nature Reserve.
We stayed for two weeks and thoroughly enjoyed every minute of our holiday. We have decided that we shall definitely rent a self catering house again for our next visit. Not only is it convenient to come and go as you please, but I don't have washing to catch up with when we get home as the house was fitted with everything you would possibly need, even a dishwasher !!
