Our yearly Cape Town holiday
I am originally from Cape Town but live now in England with my husband and two boys. We try to go to Cape Town each year for our annual holiday so that we can get to see my family who still live in Cape Town. Each year we have stayed in self catering accommodation, we've been in a flat right opposite the sea in Blouberg, we've been in a house in the middle of Table View and we have also rented a house across the road from the sea in Blouberg. However, last year we decided to stay in a house close to all the shops and in the middle (sort of) of all my family members.
Each self catering accommodation has been spotlessly clean and well worth the money. For us to stay in a bed and breakfast would be a nightmare with two grown up boys - they tend to want to sleep the day away! We have, on each occasion, enjoyed ourselves. This last house, in particular, was absolutely wonderful as it had what every woman wants - a dishwasher!
Even though I am originally from South Africa, it is quite enjoyable doing all the touristy bits. The boys enjoy the aquarium at the V&A Waterfront as well as going up Table Mountain. Sometimes though it is just nice to sit outside in the warm sunshine and relax.
