Our wonderful self catering holiday in Langebaan
My husband and I have two small boys, aged 2 and 4 respectively. As any parent of small children will tell you, it is almost impossible to have a relaxing holiday in a hotel with small children, so we decided to book a self catering cottage last December in Langebaan. We specifically wanted to be away during the Christmas period, as everything gets busier and traffic is a nightmare in Tableview.
We chose a small self catering cottage on the West Coast - near Langebaan, so that it would not be a long car journey - just long enough to entertain both boys. The cottage was exactly as advertised on the internet - big enough for the four of us and small enough to be cute. Having a garage attached to it was perfect for us to store my husband's wind surfing gear.
Besides watching my husband wind surf, the boys found many things to occupy themselves with. We did, however, have to reassure them on several occasions that Father Christmas would definately find them at the self catering cottage. I would have to say that this holiday was the most relaxing one I have had in about 4 years!
