Our self catering holiday in Blouberg
My husband, my two sons and I decided to go to Cape Town for our annual holiday. However, having two energetic children we decided to try self catering accommodation as we felt that a hotel or guest house would be too restricting with children.
We found a two bedroomed self catering apartment in Blouberg, this was literally across the road from the beach. The apartment was secure and the view of Table Mountain was absolutely breathtaking. The owners had left a long list of suggestions of activities for us to try, which we were very grateful for, as you can imagine trying to keep children occupied takes up a lot of energy. Fortunately with the beach just across the road made life a lot easier for us all.
We often sat outside on the balcony watching all the kite surfers and we even had the pleasure of seeing a whale and her baby very close to the beach. There were a selection of restaurants within walking distance, which obviously made my life a little simplier.
We also spent a full day at a theme park called Rotanga Junction - this we felt was good value for money.
