Our belated honeymoon in Hermanus
I say belated, because it actually took us ten years to have our honeymoon. When we first got married money was extremely tight as we had just built our own house in Tableview. I also have to say I was unaware of all the arrangements, as my husband had said that we should get away, just the two of us, and that camping was a good idea - I agreed with him as I knew money was still relatively tight.
My husband fetched me from work on a Friday evening and we drove straight up to Hermanus. I must say I did start to get suspicious when we drove straight past the camping site, but I was informed that we were going for supper in town. My husband parked outside of the hotel and then told me that we were actually going to stay at the hotel. I couldn't believe it, I think it is the most romantic thing he has ever done !
He had apparently being saving for quite some time for this and we were definately not dissappointed. We watched the whales from the harbour, we walked around their flea market and generally had a very peaceful and relaxing weekend.
